Loan Officer

About this Role

This role involves processing loan applications, conducting due diligence, and preparing necessary documentation. 

Key Responsibilities

• Build the policies and procedures for our lending products. 
• Assess and process loan applications from software company founders, ensuring compliance with our policies and procedures. 
• Conduct thorough due diligence, including analysis of financial statements, 409A valuations, burn rates, net dollar retention (NDR), and other relevant factors. 
• Understand and evaluate the implications of NSOs, ISOs, and AMT on applicants' financial situations. Issue loan documentation, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance. 
• Work with private lenders and commercial operations in order to offer a securitized product and secure loan book funding 
• Maintain excellent communication with applicants throughout the loan process. 
• Act as the underwriting team and make informed loan decisions. 
• Stay updated with market trends and regulatory changes affecting stock-based loans. 

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Loan Officer or similar role in the financial services industry. 
• Strong understanding of loan processing, underwriting, and documentation. 
• Familiarity with the tech startup ecosystem and the unique financial needs of startup founders. 
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. 
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. 
• A degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. 
• Familiarity with financial regulations and legal standards.
